Austrian Supply Innovation Award

In 2008, the Free State of Bavaria was the prize winner of the Austrian Supply Innovation Award 2008 in the category "Purchaser". The prize for Bavaria's electronic procurement solution, which was developed in close cooperation with Healy Hudson, is awarded by the Federal Association of Materials management, Purchasing and Logistics in Austria and acknowledges economically and technologically beneficial innovations in purchasing and along the supply chain.

The Free State of Bavaria has previously been recognized for its innovations in the area of electronic procurement with the Pioneer Award for the world's best eGovernment solution as well as with the BME/BMWi innovation prize for the pilot project ELBE.

With the objective to reduce tender and procurement costs and to organize complex tender procedures as efficiently as possible, the Bavarian State Ministries are currently implementing the "Public Procurement Platform", an end-to-end e-procurement solution by Healy Hudson.

The award recipients and all presenters were honored at the ceremony "10 years BMÖ" on October 10, 2008.
