Together with the Free State of Bavaria, Healy Hudson obtained the Pioneer Award for its innovative electronic procurement solution. The prize, for which nearly 300 applications had been submitted, was awarded by the E-gov Conference and Exposition in America. The decision was taken on the basis of the starting situation of the presented cases, the realised approach to a solution as well as the success of the employed solution. Members of the jury were representatives from both the industrial and the public sector.

The prize values highly the leading role of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, who was one of the first public authorities in Europe to implement a completely electronic procurement solution. The solution, which is based on the product Impact Sourcing by Healy Hudson, lead to economies of 38 % in the procurement of the Free State of Bavaria whilst taking into account the highly complex German and European legislation.

Healy Hudson succeeded in translating the huge challenges of a common european single market into new opportunities. Besides the realisation of an enormous savings potential, the improvements as regards service and quality were another important result of the cooperation.
